Added in the Fish and Pigs Update, the Produce Storage building stores 125 Food (Fruit) from Orchards. It serves a similar to role to a Granary, but storing apples instead of wheat.
Storing Food prevents food from spoiling on the ground during winter.
If a Produce Storage building is burned down the food will be lost. Fires can be random, from Vikings raiding, or from Dragons. The statue of Queen Barbara seems to stop Vikings from burning buildings within its radius when possible.
If a Produce Storage building is manually demolished the food will be placed on the ground and the Peasants will move the Food to another storage area. Currently, the food placed on the ground this way will not spoil.
